Senior Graphic Designer

The Role
We are seeking a highly creative and motivated senior graphic designer who loves design for print and digital media. Someone who can apply their craft imaginatively, whilst keeping clients’ key aims and objectives in mind. The role involves working across most creative channels including, design for printed marketing materials such as; sales and corporate brochures, product catalogues, packaging, display and exhibition graphics. Projects will also involve logo design and branding, design of digital media including websites, email campaigns and motion graphics.
About You
The ideal candidate must live in the UK and should have:
- BA degree in Graphic Design or related field
- 5 years experience working within an agency as a graphic designer
- a strong portfolio of outstanding print and website design examples
- proven ability to work both creatively and strategically
- a keen eye for detail, combined with a solid technical knowledge
- ability to foster positive relationships with clients and other team members
- excellent communication skills
- awareness of current design trends and working methods
- ability to work autonomously
Skills & Competencies:
- experience in using the latest Adobe CC applications: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat and XD
- experience of working with WordPress CMS and knowledge of HTML/CSS
- expertise in designing responsive, mobile first websites that look and function well across all devices
- a strong understanding of both UI and UX (and the differences between the two)
- excellent conceptualising and visualising skills, plus solid illustration style
- strong understanding of typography, colour theory, and ability to comply with brand guidelines
- project management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- take design briefs directly from clients and quote projects
- create design and undertake artwork for print based projects
- liaise with clients through each proof stage
- provide specifications for printing and liaise with printer on production costs
- design of client websites and preparation of files for developers to build
- maintain company website via WordPress dashboard; in particular portfolio samples
- create engaging graphics to post on our social media channels
- contribute to projects and internal assignments
Key Information:
Salary £30,000+ depending on experience
20 days holiday + bank holidays
Remote working with a requirement to meet in person at least once a week.
