The background:
Sovereign Sports are a specialist tennis court and playing surface installer in South East England. They wanted a ‘clean and simple’ sales brochure to give prospective clients an overview of all of their services. The subject of tennis court construction is quite difficult to explain, so they wanted to use lots of images. The images were to be a mix of project stages and finished builds.
The solution:
We have created a bold style for an image heavy and minimal content sales brochure. We have employed heavy lines and image blocks to represent the lines and sections of sports courts. The client had a lot of content, and too much content can result in no content being read at all. We also did not want to sacrifice the quality of the design, so advised the client on a heavy edit. We brought in one of our trusted copy writers to edit the content down to bite sized chunks for each subject. The result is much clearer and easier for the reader to digest.
The original logo would have looked very dated on the new brochure and damaged the new design, so we offered some concepts that were in line with the new visual identity. After explaining the power of a logo redesign in showing progression of a business and bringing it up to date, the client agreed to move forward with one of the new concepts.
